Apostolic Tabernacle, in Newton, North Carolina was established as a Message church in 1966 by Reverend Charles Brumley. Inspired by what he had seen in the life and ministry of Brother William Marrion Branham, Reverend Brumley was a pioneer in establishing a church preaching the Message of the Hour. He served Apostolic Tabernacle faithfully in pastoral ministry for forty-five years, until he went to be with the Lord in 2011.
Later that same year, Brother Joshua Bennett was elected as pastor of the church, and continues to be a tremendous blessing to the church. Brother Joshua had been ministering as a traveling evangelist and missionary for many years prior to answering the call to take the role of pastor for the church. Brother Joshua steadfastly proclaims this Message to be the Truth, based entirely on the Bible which is our absolute.
Apostolic Tabernacle continues the mission of proclaiming that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Jesus said “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to me.” As a congregation, we strive to live daily as disciples of Jesus Christ, that He would be lifted up before a dying world. Everyone is welcome at Apostolic Tabernacle, Brother Joshua preaches “Come as you are, and let the power of the Holy Ghost change your life!” We have recently moved into a new building, and it has been a true blessing from God. The church was bursting at the seams in our old building, and the pandemic forced a change. We now have plenty of room, and we would welcome you to visit.
We are friends to all of God’s children and love to fellowship around His Word.
May God richly bless you!
